Abby | Maternity Session

Abby is one of my closest friends in the photography industry, so when she asked me to photograph her maternity session, I was SO honored! She lives in the northern neck of Virginia, so we don’t see each other much at all.  We have monthly ‘Skype dates’ to stay up to date on each others lives, but that’s just not quite the same as chatting in person! So, I was thrilled when she asked me to capture this milestone for her so that I would be able to hug her in person! :)

She and her hubby, Brad, drove 4 hours (!!!) to Roanoke, and they were in town for less than 24 hours, so I was praying for good weather the whole week before her session!

Y’all…we had the most PERFECT evening for a maternity session!  It was sunny and cool (ish) with a little breeze! We couldn’t have asked for better weather!

Abby & Brad are so incredibly sweet, and you can tell by looking through these images just how much love, respect, and adoration they have for each another!  These are some of my favorite images to date…partly because of the golden glow, partly because of the emotion that is palpable between Brad and Abby, and partly because I just love these two! ;)

One of the most amazing things to me is that Abby and I met just over a year ago, and somehow it seems like we’ve been friends forever! Her friendship has blessed my life in so many ways, and I can honestly say that I don’t know what I’d do without her!

Thank you, Abby and Brad, for asking me to capture this special milestone for y’all! I’m so excited to meet your sweet baby girl later this year! :)

You're gorgeous, Abby!
