Okay, I saved this favorite for today, because Valentine's Day is tomorrow…and if you're like me, you love Valentine's Day, because it means lots of sweets & lots of pink!! If you weren't already craving a sweet, pretty treat, I apologize…but now you can join my club! :)
Bubblecake Bake Shop opened a few years ago in Roanoke, and it has been a favorite of mine ever since!! Not only are their cupcakes delicious, they're so pretty!!
Since opening, Bubblecake has introduced three different sizes of cupcakes. They have their signature cupcakes (these are huge!), babycakes (think the size a normal cupcake you would bake in the oven), and then mini cupcakes! The minis are my absolute favorite!! Some people call the minis 'bite size'…but I would call them 'three bite' cupcakes! They're the perfect size! I usually get a few of them when I visit Bubblecake, and it's great to be able to get a taste of a few different flavors without feeling stuffed afterwards!
Bubblecake has become so popular that they have two locations in Roanoke and one in Christiansburg, VA (near Virginia Tech!). They also opened another dessert shop called Piety…they make miniature pies, y'all!!!! They are delicious, but my true love is a cupcake! ;)
I had so much fun shooting these cupcakes…and even more fun eating them afterwards!! ;)
Here are some of my favorites! (But let's be honest, it's hard to choose a favorite when you like all things cake & icing!!!)
This one is my all time favorite, the Tiffany! It is vanilla cake with vanilla almond icing! So yummy and so pretty!
My second favorite is this guy! The Black & White: chocolate cake with vanilla icing and a chocolate drizzle on top!
Next up...the Strawberry cupcake! Strawberry cake & strawberry icing...oh and around valentines day it's topped with adorable heart sprinkles!!!!
Any chocolate lovers out there? This one is amazing! Chocolate icing on top of chocolate cake topped with chocolate shavings! YUM.
Red Velvet!! Need I say more?
And finally for all of the purists out there (like my husband!) ...the Birthday Cake: vanilla cake with vanilla icing!
And these are just a few of the many flavors offered at Bubblecake!! Their Signature Cupcakes (the big guys!) come in LOTS of different flavors, and they're inventing new flavors all the time!
